Quirky Casden - isms!

Casden was playing outside with Padget at Baba's house. They were playing on the hammock, which was connected to 2 posts in the ground. On top of one post sat a giant 20 lb bird feeder/bird house. Padget leapt onto the hammock, the one post sheared off at the bottom (20 year of the elements had taken their toll), and the bird feeder crashed down on Casden's head. He had a nice laceration that required 3 staples along with a giant goose egg. Throughout the whole experience, he was very stoic, not crying or anything. Really taking it like a man! When asked if his head hurt, he said yes. When asked if it was a pain like a cut or a pain inside his head like a head ache, he replied, "I'm not sure. It just keeps blinking." That's apparently his way of saying he could feel the throbbing of his pulse in his cut. When we were at Med Express getting the laceration cleaned out, the nurse scrubbed it out real good and left the room. Casden said, "It's blinking again!" Casden does not say "yesterday". He always says, "It happened the day before this day". Always. Even when you explain to him that that means it happened yesterday, he will just look at you and say, "Yes, the day before this day."
