Aidric-isms
Well, it took Aidric a long time to start talking. But, as Tim likes to say, the problem now is getting him to shut up! He is still not understandable 100% of the time and his grammar can be a little mixed up (like he'll say, "Mommy take bed me" -- which means, Mommy put me to bed).
The way he says "Yes" is too cute. He says "Desssssss", stringing out the "s" like he's a snake. And he whispers it. And sometimes with his chin down on his chest and his eyes up, like he's embarrassed.
He will out of the blue climb up into my lap and say, "I like you Mommy" or "I love you Mommy". He could not be any sweeter.
I told him once that something he did made me sad. And he picked up on that phrase. Now, he will mill around the house crying and wailing "I'm so sad" whenever something is bothering him. Or he will curl up in a ball on the floor or on a chair, sobbing that he's "so sad". "I'm so sad, Mama". It is the height of pathetic! Casden and I were looking through Casden's baby scrapbook and Caz asked me where Aidric's scrapbook was, and I admitted that I had not made him one yet. Aidric apparently overheard this conversation, because at dinner that night, he had curled up into a ball on his chair and was saying he was so sad. I asked him why he was so sad and he replied, "So sad, no baby book". Oh, the guilt!! I started his scrap book the next day!
